If you want an alternative to reading long documents, or want to get the flavour of something before a ‘big read’, then podcasts may already be a favourite with you. Great for listening to ‘on the go’ or while you are busy with something else, they can be listened to on your laptop, tablet or phone; in the car/on the train; through ear pods – or even Bluetooth hearing aids!
The hosts are often called ‘podcasters’ who record content then share it. Many BBC radio programmes have another life as podcasts, where they can be accessed through BBC Sounds. Other podcasts may be on YouTube or podcast hosting services such as Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
